New gambling recovery support is now available in North Lincolnshire

People affected by gambling harm can now access more dedicated support here in North Lincolnshire.

TimeOut Recovery has welcomed Celine, its new Specialist Gambling Recovery Worker for North Lincolnshire. Based within Scunthorpe Recovery service, Celine will provide lived-experience, one-to-one and peer support to people across the area.

This is an important addition to the support available locally and a welcome step forward for our recovery community.

Support shaped around the person

Gambling harm does not look the same for everyone. It can affect finances, relationships, wellbeing, work and everyday life. It can also be difficult to talk about, especially when shame, secrecy or fear of judgement get in the way.

TimeOut offers a free, confidential and non-judgemental space to start that conversation. Support can include:

exploring gambling patterns, triggers and risks;
building a recovery plan around the person's circumstances and goals;
one-to-one and peer support;
practical harm-reduction and relapse-prevention strategies;
help to explore tools such as gambling blocks, blocking software and self-exclusion; and
links to specialist, NHS and wider community support.

People do not need to be certain that they have a gambling problem before getting in touch. If gambling is causing worry, stress, debt, secrecy, arguments, missed responsibilities or a feeling of being out of control, it is worth having a conversation.

Working together across North Lincolnshire

Alongside direct support, TimeOut will work with local communities, organisations and professionals to raise awareness of gambling harm and create clearer routes into help.

That local connection matters. It means people can speak to someone who understands recovery, explore practical next steps and connect with additional support where needed.
